Ugandan Boda-Boda cyclists πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¬πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¬πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¬πŸš΄πŸš΄‍♀️🚴‍♂️

The Boda-Boda term originally referred to the carrier business within smuggling operations across the Uganda Kenya border in the 1980s and early 1990s. The carriers either walked, used bicycles or motorcycles across the border. It was the carrier business that was locally referred to as boda boda meaning border to border. The rider carriers were known to be very fast and expert riders. Soon enough some people in the bicycle transport business labeled their bicycles with writing boda boda as a proud budge for being fast expert riders. When one wanted a fast ride or delivery they hired a boda to boda rider and the public started referring to them as boda-boda. These Boda-Boda cyclists dolls are produced in craft shops in Kampala, the capital of Uganda.

Austrian soldiers from Pfeiffer (Tipple Topple) πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ή

Emil Pfeiffer's company was founded in 1873 (Vienna, Austria) and produced dolls and composition figures for children from about 1880. The materials for such game pieces consisted of a composition mass mixed together from sand, millery waste and chestnut flour in discarded bakery machines.Emil Pfieffer also had a branch in Germany. By absorbing the Austrian Pfeiffer’s Tipple Topple brand in 1925, Hausser(Elastolin) was able to produce more figures. In 1931, the word Elastolin was added to the trademark, and in the following years the brand’s logo kept both the monograms, while under the figure’s base only the wording Elastolin (or its subsidiary Duro and Durolin) remained. The brand had a huge production of toys in general, which lasted until 1943; after that date they switched to wooden toys, to start again in 1946–47 with the American occupation authorities’ permission. Around 1956, the company was then returned to Hausser.
