The "Big Three" at the Yalta Conference

The Yalta Conference, also known as the Crimea Conference and code-named the Argonaut Conference, held from 4 to 11 February 1945, was the World War II meeting of the heads of government of the United States, the United Kingdom and the Soviet Union for the purpose of discussing Germany and Europe's postwar reorganization. The three states were represented by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Premier Joseph Stalin, respectively. The "Big Three" figures are produced by Durso in 1946.

The Mittlerer Minenwerfer in action

The 17 cm Mittlerer Minenwerfer (17 cm mMW) was a medium range mortar used by Germany in World War I. Its effective firing range was only 300m.  It fired 50 kilogram (110 lb) HE shells, which contained far more explosive filler than ordinary artillery shells of the same caliber. The Minewerfer is produced by Hausser in 30s. Soldiers are produced by Lineol and Elastolin (30s).

A German machine gun team is advancing to positions

This Lineol machine gun needs to move fast to positions...The machine gun seems to be MG 08 (Maschinengewehr 08). MG 08  was quite heavy machine gun - 69 kg (152.1 lb) with water . These MG team soldiers are made by Lineol and the ammo bearer is produced by Elastolin in 30s.

Two admirals ...

Two famous admirals met this evening in Dublin...William Brown (also known in Spanish as Guillermo Brown) (22 June 1777 – 3 March 1857), an Irish-born Argentine admiral, and Erich Raeder (24 April 1876 – 6 November 1960), a German Kriegsmarine admiral who played a major role in the naval history of World War II. The Erich Raeder  figure is produced by Lineol in 30s.

It's time to start artillery maneuvers to check readiness of our troops. German and Italian WW2 soldiers are made by Elastolin in 1930s. The Opel Kubelwagen and the cannon are produced by Tipp&Co in 30s as well.

German drummer cavalryman - Kesselpauker

One of my favorite Elastolin soldiers made in 1930s.  Such a powerful and an expressive figure.

Marching Belgian Naval Force

I really like this set of Belgian Naval Force marines made in 50s by Durso. Are they not wonderful ?
