Kriegsmarine Sailors by Elastolin ๐๐ณ⚓️๐๐ฆ
These composition figures by Elastolin depict Kriegsmarine personnel in a restrained marching pose, typical of mid-20th century German toy production.
They are photographed here in front of the Statsraad Lehmkuhl, a three-masted barque rigged sail training vessel, originally launched as Groรherzog Friedrich August. Built in Germany in 1914, the ship was seized by the United Kingdom after the First World War and later transferred to Norway. During the Second World War (1940–1945), she was taken over by Germany and used again as a training vessel before returning to Norwegian service after the war.
