The Trebuchet and the Mangonel models from the Story of Castle Cornet museum at Guernsey

The Trebuchet first appeared in the 12th Century, and there were several variants. This type relied on a large box of stones as a counterweight, which when the machine was triggered, would hurl a missile through the air. The model scale is 1:15.
The Mangonel was a siege engine in which the torsion created by a wooden beam between twisted ropes, when hurl a large stone ball. Although useful against fortifications, the Mangonel was also used by defenders, and one is believed to have been fitted inside Castle Cornet. Scale 1:15.
